Beautiful handmade Peruvian Ocarinas. You will get two Large 4 inches Ocarinas. All Handmade in Peru. Dating from the time of the Incas, used as instruments for festivals, rituals and ceremonies. The Ocarina whistle originated in the Andes Mountain in Peru. It’s know as the most primitive for of flute found in the Americas. Made with clay and hand painted with ancient symbols and designs from the region of Cuzco in Peru. They came in different shape like the traditional pistol,doughnut and oval. Also they are made to represent animal and other forms of life. Ancient players of this flute played notes in their highlands villages where the main trade was raising herds of llamas and alpacas. The ocarina were also used to communicate sound signals from the mountains to the canyons.
