The Karimba, or thumb piano, is an instrument traditionally from Africa that is fun to play and pleasing to hear. The stainless-steel tines secured on the carved animal top of the instrument are plucked with the thumbs to produce a variety of hollow tones that resonate through the coconut shell in each beautiful note. Hand carved by global artisans, each instrument is constructed one-at-a-time. Minor differences in color and design should be expected.
